Z40 is a compact multipurpose complex in the city downtown. It combines the functions of a hotel, restaurant, office space, and premium accommodation. The city where it is located has a classic European layout and lots of old neoclassical Austrian and Polish houses, narrow streets, and tram lines all over the city. So for the customer, it was crucial to highlight the location and the environment, to truly represent the value of the project. Z40 has given a lot of thought to choosing just the right exterior view and interior designs. We needed to showcase chosen luxury yet laconic style.
The whole scope was 12 images, but we’d like to focus on those ones that resonate with us the most.
In the interiors, we aimed for projecting the feeling of home and its functionality in the day to day life. Our priority was to convey a storyline that would be easily readable for an attentive viewer. By detailing and carefully illustrating the mood, we wanted the viewer to feel included in what’s shown in a static picture. This is how we approach work, this is what truly matters to us.
In the exteriors, we were focusing particularly on the functioning of the architecture in the realia of local climate and the lifestyle of its citizens. For example, the gloomy view in the picture with tables is a tribute to fickle weather conditions, and the facade image with the e-scooters portrays the overwhelming love for alternative transportation in the city.
Then there are the commercial interiors. A little restaurant by the hotel had to come out like a warm and welcoming place where you can grab a cup of coffee and catch a break in the quiet cozy environment. Warm bar station and simple urbanistic design, “Better stay in bed” sign – those are the elements we wanted to bring the viewer’s focus to.
